Northwood park is adjacent to the apartment complex and is often used a place of quite tranquility for students wanted to get away from the stress of city life. The park has a running track a lake and a little forest. It also has a supermarket, cafe and many other shops.

Northwood Fitness Center is across the road from Hazelwood and boasts a swimming pool, weights, sauna steam room, jacuzzi, cardiovascular equipment, spa, cafe and beauty therapy.
